• Is the Hotel access friendly?

Most of our apartment rooms are easily accessible. Please let our reservation team know if you need an easy to access room when booking your stay.

  • What is the Hotel's children policy?

Children (under 12 years old) are most welcome at Liberty Apartment Hotel. We do have an extra charge of $20 for use of baby cot, subject to availability. The extra roll away bed is $40 each per night. The extra roll away bed fits in our 1 bedroom apartments and upwards. Extra beds will not fit in on our studio apartments.

Please note that there is a restriction of the guests needs to be supervised by the parents to check in if you’re under 18 years old.

  • Do you have adjoining rooms?

Unfortunately, we do not provide adjoining rooms. We offer multi-rooms units such as our Two Bedroom Apartment and Three Bedroom Apartment suitable to accommodate up to 6 occupants.

  • How much for the extra bed?

The Extra roll away bed is $40 each per night. The extra roll away bed fits in our 1 bedroom apartments and upwards. Extra beds will not fit in on our studio apartments.

  •  How long can I store my luggage in your hotel?

We provide luggage storage on request at our front desk. We can store your luggage free of charge for a maximum of 24 hours after checking out.

Check In &Check Out

  • Reception hours

Our reception is located on the ground floor.  Our reception hours:


Monday- Sunday: 8:00am- 12:00am
Reception is closed between 8pm- 8.30pm (7 days)

Check-in time is 2:00PM. If you require a late check-in, please contact us for instructions.  There is a lock-box on-site, the instructions will be sent out if you require a late check-in. Check-out time is 10:00AM. 

  • Early check-in or late check-out

While we do our best to meet your check-in and check-out requests, we cannot guarantee that this will always be achievable.

  • Can I check-in before 2:00 PM?

While we try our best effort to make the rooms ready before 2:00PM, we are not able to guarantee the availability prior to our standard check-in time of 2:00PM. However, guests can leave luggage at the reception until the room is ready.

  • What happens if I can't check-in before 12:00 AM?

Please contact us for the late check-in instructions and we will send instructions for the on-site lock box if you require it.

Cancellation & Changes

Unless otherwise stated, no fee will be charged if canceled or modified up to 2 days before the date of arrival. If canceled or modified later, 100 percent of the first night will be charged. (e.g. the latest to cancel a reservation checking in on 8 April 15 is 23:59 on 5 April 15. Cancellation made from 00:00 on 6 April will incur cancellation charge). In case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.

  • How do I modify or cancel my booking?

Please kindly contact us via email or call and quote your booking reference with the modification/cancellation request.


Booking & Payment

  • Non-refundable bookings

If advertised, prepay reservation refers to bookings that once made cannot be modified or canceled. If canceled or modified after confirmation, 100% of the reservation will be charged. Guests’ credit cards will be charged at the same day of booking. Credit card transaction fee applies. 

  • Payment

The full payment must be made no later than check-in, unless otherwise stated. Liberty Apartment Hotel reserves the right not to honour any bookings that are unpaid at the check-in. Acceptable forms of payment are: Visa, Mastercard, Eftpos, American Express, and Diners Club.

  • Pre-authorization

It is the most common Method of Payment that Hospitality/travel industry uses. The process of pre-authorization is to hold the amount on the credit card during Guest stay as a security to access all hotel services without actually holding/paying cash. This pre-authorization can be used a payment upon check out , or will be released by the hotel on the day of check out.


  • Do you have restaurant in the hotel?

Liberty Apartment Hotel does not have an onsite restaurant however we have set up chargeback facilities with the following nearby cafe/dinning options  so our guests have a range to select from.

To use the facility you will need to show your Liberty Apartment Hotel key, advise your room number and show some other form of identification (Drivers Licence - Personal Credit Card.) and sign the meal docket. The dinning costs will be added to your Liberty Apartment Hotel invoice for payment on departure.  (Please note: dinning options as effective from 18 January 2018, thank you.

Restaurant / Dining


  • Is parking available at the hotel and can I pre-book a park?

Liberty Apartment Hotel has an on-site car park. Please note that booking needs to be made in advance. To reserve a car park, please get in touch with our reservation team. Please call 64 (4) 830-0993 or email to reservations@libertyhotel.nz  to make your booking. 

It's $20 per day  with the height restriction of 1.8m.

Getting to the hotel

  • Does the Hotel offers free shuttle service?

Unfortunately, Liberty Apartment Hotel doesn't offer free shuttle service from the Airport to the hotel. The airport shuttle bus stop is only 5 minutes walking distance from the hotel on Courtenay place.

  •  What is the best way to get to the Hotel?

We recommend that you use a taxi to the hotel entrance at 79 Taranaki Street, Wellington. If you are driving, we recommend you to follow the route on Google Maps.

  • Wireless internet

Guests enjoy high-speed WiFi throughout the property with 1GB data daily. Additional data may be purchased at the reception, $10/ per 24 hours for unlimited access.

  • Access

Access is via swipe card which will be provided on check in. After hours (after 6:00pm on weekdays & all day on the weekend and public holidays) access to the building is via swipe card – simply swipe your room card on the reader located on the right of the entrance door on the ground floor. Room access is via the same swipe card If you require additional cards, please contact reception.

  • Housekeeping

Our daily housekeeping services the rooms between 10:00AM and 2:00PM. If you do not want to be disturbed, please place your ‘Do Not Disturb’ sign on your door. For a seven nights or longer stay, our housekeepers will service your room once a week.

  • Non-smoking property

Our rooms are strictly non-smoking rooms. Please note that smoking electronic cigarettes is also prohibited in the entire building. A cleaning charge ($150) will apply to guests who smoke in their room.

  • Noise and parties

There is a maximum of seven people allowed in any of the guestrooms at any one time. Having a party or creating a disturbance in any of our guest rooms may result in eviction from the premises and forfeiture of that night’s stay.

  • Lost and found policy

Liberty Apartment Hotel accepts no responsibility for any personal belongings lost, damaged, or stolen. Should any guest lose personal belongings, except for perishables, whilst staying at the Liberty Apartment Hotel, if recovered, the item will be kept for 30 days. We will make a reasonable effort to contact the guest who lost the item if possible. Please note that found items will be shipped back at the owner’s expense.

  • Damage of property

Guests will be held responsible for any loss or damage to the hotel property caused by them, their friends or any other person related to them.
